In many ways
the story of Norwegian American Hospital is one of
triumph in the face of adversity, and the courage of
countless men and women united in their resolve to
meet the needs of pioneering Norwegian immigrants that
were pouring into Chicago during the 1880s.

our beginnings over 100 years ago, Norwegian American
Hospital has been committed to the community we serve.

the continual creation and expansion of patient
services and programs. In the process, Norwegian
American has developed an international reputation for
